  • Finished hunting down references to "calends", next...."ides".
  • Permission received to use a photo of the Leshan Buddha.

February 12, 2007

  • Data entry from the A-SC completed!! Wings.gif
  • Begin hunt for calendar dates pre-900.
  • Begin dictionary of unusual terms (see Main Page).

  • 11th century half entered.


February 8, 2007

  • 10th century data-entry finished.
  • Begin data entry for 11th century.
  • E-mailed Tony Jebson on Feb. 7 about using his Anglo-Saxon stuff on the site; no reply yet.


February 6, 2007

  • Halfway through entering the 10th century.
  • Google Maps extension successfully added and tested on some islands (see Main Page).
  • Saxon Genealogies roughed in from the A-SC text, and turned into a .pdf document (ditto).
  • Calendar skeleton roughed in (ditto ditto); dates being noted on paper from 900 onwards.


Planned

  • Finish A-SC data entry by Feb. 16 (or earlier if possible).
  • Retrace pre-900 entries for potential Calendar entries.
  • Add collected Calendar entries.
  • Add Anglo-Saxon link to all entries and create pages for original text (see 938 for example).
  • Create "General" pages for Natural Events, Popes, Kings (subdivided Saxon and Viking), Battles, Treaties, etc.
  • Begin individual pages for well-known people, i.e. King Alfred, Augustine, Edward the Confessor, etc.
  • Begin dictionary of unusual terms, i.e. calends, ides, nones, etheling, etc.
  • Create list of when Easter occurred each year.
